Lawnmower Dogs or Cats?
Happily munching on grass is a common and natural behavior in dogs and cats, and plants are regulary found in the scat of wild carnivores such as wolves or coyotes. Some dogs vomit after eating grass, but many do not.

Researchers do not know whether grass performs some nutritional function not satisfied by regular pet foods, but diet does not seem to be a good indicator of whether or not a dog or cat will eat grass.

Make sure the grass disappearing into your pet has not been treated with dangerous chemicals

Sudden, frenzied consumption of grass may indicate illness, and animals kept inside may substitute with carpet strings or other fibers.
